Same song different verse got to get better because it can’t get worse.
These words kept running in my head as we loaded our camper the two days before our departure. We decided to give it a 90 Day Trial to see if we can actually do this RV Life. Last year was a fiasco. We had some fun times, like our blog Shaken, not Stirred, but we weren’t ready.
So here we are again, it is launch day, you would think launching out on a new adventure would be exciting, and it is, but it also comes with anxiousness. With anything new and out of your comfort zone comes anxiousness. You can ask anyone in my family getting ready to leave on a trip pushes my nerves over the edge. I inherited this behavior from my father. Lord, he was terrible getting ready to go on vacation. I can hear his voice now, “who is kicking my seat.”
We could not ask for a better day to leave. There isn’t a cloud in the sky, traffic is light, and we are out early on the road. My niece, Kaylyn Arnold made us a sign for the back of the camper. It actually matches our camper and we received quite a few internet hits on our trip up. We Love It!
We have no idea where we are going to sleep tonight. We are planning on driving until we get tired. I know that might drive some people crazy, but the unknown is what makes it fun. It is all part of the adventure.
We decided to stop in the afternoon at one of our favorite places to walk and talk, Mammoth Spring. I attached a couple of pictures for your enjoyment. The temperature was 10 to 15 degrees cooler below the waterfall. It is a magical place and we love stopping here. Our dog Mac actually fell in the water. He stepped off on a bed of moss in the water thinking it was grass. Sandra jerked him up by his leash to keep him from being carried by the current downstream. It was hilarious.
